01   ABOUT THIS POLICY

T Casa Projects (ABN 71 675 028 181, QBCC licence 15455661) builds, renovates and extends homes across Noosa and the surrounding Sunshine Coast. We refer to ourselves in this policy as we, us and our.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access or correct it. It applies to our website, our enquiry forms, our advertising and the information we handle during a building project.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

02   THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

What we collect depends on how you deal with us. It generally includes:

  • Contact details. Your name, email address, phone number and postal or site address.

  • Project information. Details about the property, your plans and drawings, your timing, and anything else you choose to tell us about the work you are considering.

  • Communication records. Enquiry form submissions, emails, text messages, call notes and meeting notes.

  • Project management information. If you become a client, the selections, approvals, invoices, progress photos and correspondence held in our project management system.

  • Website and advertising information. Your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at our site and how you interact with our advertising. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

You do not have to identify yourself when you browse our website. If you contact us anonymously or under a pseudonym, we may not be able to answer your enquiry or prepare a quote.

03   HOW WE COLLECT IT

We collect personal information directly from you when you complete an enquiry form, download a guide, call or email us, meet us on site, or engage us for a project.

We also collect information through our website analytics and advertising tools, and sometimes from third parties such as your architect, building designer, engineer or a referrer, where you have asked them to deal with us on your behalf.

04   WHY WE COLLECT AND USE IT

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and arrange a call or site meeting

  • prepare estimates, plans, quotes and contracts

  • manage and deliver your project, including coordinating trades, suppliers and consultants

  • keep you updated on progress, costs and selections

  • meet our record keeping, insurance, licensing, warranty and defect obligations

  • send you occasional updates about our work, where you have opted in

  • understand how our website and advertising perform, and improve both

We will not use your personal information for a purpose you would not reasonably expect, unless you have consented or we are required or permitted by law to do so.

05   COOKIES, ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure how the site is used and improve how it performs.

We use analytics and behaviour tools, including Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, which record aggregated information about page views, traffic sources and how visitors move through the site. We also use advertising tools provided by Google and Meta, which may allow us to show our advertising to you on other websites and social platforms after you have visited ours.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can adjust your advertising preferences through the settings offered by Google and by each social platform. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our website work.

06   WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We share personal information only where it is needed to deliver your project or run our business. That may include:

  • the trades, subcontractors and suppliers working on your project

  • architects, building designers, interior designers, engineers, certifiers and surveyors involved in your project

  • our project management software provider, Buildertrend, along with our customer management and email systems

  • our website, marketing and advertising providers

  • our insurers, accountants, solicitors and other professional advisers

  • government bodies, councils and regulators, where required

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

07   OVERSEAS DISCLOSURE

Some of the software we use stores information on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. By providing your information, you acknowledge it may be stored or processed overseas by those providers. We take reasonable steps to use providers that handle information securely and consistently with Australian privacy standards.

08   HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT IT

We hold personal information in a mix of electronic and paper records. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure, including access controls, password protection and reputable third party software.

No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in line with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

09   HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, and for as long as we are required to keep it under building, tax, insurance and other laws. When it is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it.

10   DIRECT MARKETING AND OPTING OUT

If you have enquired with us or downloaded a guide, we may send you occasional updates about our work. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or by contacting us directly. We will action your request promptly.

Opting out of marketing does not stop us contacting you about a project you have engaged us for.

11   ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

We will respond within a reasonable period. If we decline a request, we will explain why in writing.

12   COMPLAINTS

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first using the details below. We will investigate and respond to you in writing.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

13   THIRD PARTY WEBSITES

Our website may link to other websites, including social media platforms and the sites of our partners and suppliers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites, and we recommend reviewing their own privacy policies.

14   CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available on our website, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
